Concert Bands

Throughout the year, band students participate in one of the five concert bands at Haltom High School; the Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band I, 9th Grade Honors Band, Concert Band A or Concert Band B. These bands prepare several concerts throughout the season, compete at Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) Concert and Sightreading Contests, and send students to audition for All-Region Band. Several students advance to Area auditions each year, and eventually become part of one of the Texas All-State Bands or Orchestras, which perform during the Texas Music Educator’s Association (TMEA) Conference in February of each year in San Antonio, Texas.
