Concert Bands

Haltom Band musicians participate in one of our five concert bands at Haltom High School; the Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band I, Honors Band, Concert Band 1 or Concert Band 2. Students in these ensembles prepare multiple concerts throughout the year, compete at University Interscholastic League (UIL) Concert and Sightreading Contest, perform solos and participate in chamber music performances. Annually, Haltom has dozens of students place into TMEA Region 31 Region Band, with many advancing to Area, and regularly becoming part of one of the TMEA All-State Bands or Orchestras.

In 2024, the Haltom Symphonic Winds advanced to the State Semi Final round of the TMEA Honor Band competition, performing Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar, Glory of the Yankee Navy by John Phillip Sousa, and Circus Overture by William Schuman.
